No Hope of Morning
Light
Greetings to you in the name of the
most Holy
Father and His Son, our precious Jesus by whom All things were
made...
; and without him was not any thing made that was made (John
1:3).
I invite the Holy Spirit to
inhabit this
place and His anointing be sent out to all who receive His
voice.
Today my heart is full with the
wonders of
our great and mighty Lord. I am thankful for life and for His
magnificent
glory that fills all who are willing. His love ascends from the highest
hill to the lowest valley. We will never experience the fullness of
that
deep love as long we inhabit these earthly bodies, but one day soon, we
will walk in complete Holy knowledge of those things that are now
hidden
in the most secret places that only the Lord inhabits. I look forward
to
that day when we will see Him face-to-face. A day when pain and sorrow
will cease.
We can look forward with peace toward
the day
when this life shall end and everlasting life will greet us. I pray that all will
allow the Lord into their hearts. There is no peace without Him because He has created an
empty place deep inside our hearts that can only be filled with His Spirit. Man
without
God is a lost soul seeking fulfillment in earthly possessions not
recognizing
his own Creator. He is like a ship without a rudder drifting upon the
high
seas.
As Christian leaders and lay members
we should
ask the Lord to give us all a great desire for the salvation of the
lost
of this world. This is why we are here -- our first and true calling is
to reach the unsaved and hurting. Anyone who does not have this
burning
desire should seek the Lord, asking Him to renew the essence of the
Great
Commission in their innermost beings.
If you would just look within your
hearts maybe
you would see the face of a child, man or woman who is without hope. I
have walked among them and have seen their darkness and their despair.
There is hope even in the worse
situations
and there is a Friend who is ready and willing to help. The Lord never
wants to see anyone lost, He will go to great lengths to bring the
destitute
and wounded to Him. But He has called His people to do His bidding, to
be His servants, putting Him before themselves.
I challenge you to walk forward with
new determination
to make a difference in these waning days.
May God bless and keep you,
Dr. Vicki Reeves-Church,
President
