Grading Procedures and
Expectations
(A note from your grader)
In the interest of academic excellence at FBCS, I would like to clarify
our expectations from you concerning testing.
Testing in all degree programs, but in particular at the Master and Doctoral
levels, requires more than reading and rehashing the curriculum.
As college students, you are expected to submit
papers that are well thought, researched, and prepared. If you desire top
grades, you must meticulously follow our testing procedures. If a
test procedure calls for a 300 word essay on each chapter and a 600 word
summary essay, all essays must be completed. All work should be done in
an easily readable format, preferably word processed. Spelling and
grammar checking is expected. Proof read all of your work.
Your grader will be looking for your discourse concerning textual topical
sections, procedural steps, opposing
arguments or important statistics/charts/graphs.
Master and Doctorate degrees are practitioner degrees. As such, your
learning is geared toward the skillful application
of knowledge. We know what the textbook authors think. Now,
we want to know how you are going to apply their teachings in your ministry
situations. Be sure to include application comments in your essays.
Additionally, every
essay should reflect a biblically sound perspective, preferably supported
with scriptural references.
My earnest desire is that you excel at Freedom Bible
College & Seminary . . .only to serve Him
more!
