Course Materials:
Freedom
Bible College and Seminary evaluates the contents of all course material
as a part of the curriculum. Only sound, qualified Biblical material is approved.
The
courses cover an extensive selection of the subject material one would expect
to find in the traditional Christian college and seminary. Of course, no
book takes the place of "The Book" (the Bible). FBCS is a Bible college and
the Bible is the heart of all our study material.
FBCS
neither endorses nor disdains any particular doctrinal tenet projected by
the course materials.
Back to the Table of Contents
Accreditation and Exempt Status:
FBCS is a member of the International Commission on Academic Accreditation
(ICAAI), an independent subsidiary of Concepts
of Freedom Ministries, Inc.
ICAAI
is not recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
Since we
believe in the right of separation of church and state, we have not applied
for accreditation to the U.S. Department of Education or any state or federal
agency.
FBCS has
applied for, and received, religious exemption status from the State of
Arkansas.
We hold that our accrediting body is
far above any D.O.E. accrediting agency because we are allowed to teach
the Word of God, and only the Word of God, without outside dictation.
The Arkansas Department of Higher Education has determined that the Freedom
Bible College and Seminary does not offer courses or degrees customarily
offered at colleges and universities and that certification is not required
by the Arkansas Higher Education Coordinating Board.
All Bible, Core and Theology
courses at FBCS are now accepted by the Association
of Christian Schools International (ASCI). ASCI is not an accrediting body for higher
education.

Students considering continuing their
education at another institution should not assume that credits earned at

without inquiring of the registrar of the receiving institution as to that
institution’s policy concerning the acceptance of such credits.

The courses of study outlined in this catalog are for neither the passive
student nor someone who is interested in an easy way to a degree. Our curriculum
is designed to give you a tremendous amount of accurate information and to
challenge your mind. It is appropriate to reference the supreme authority
of the Word in 2 Timothy 2:15 - "Study to show thyself approved unto God,
a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."
God never intended for our walk with Him to be without effort. He expects
us to search the scriptures and other sources to find our place in His great
plan.
There are places where almost anyone can get a "degree" with very little
effort and even less dedication to learning. At Freedom Bible College and
Seminary you will be challenged and you will be expected to do your best.
Yes, you will work hard for your degree and you will be proud to display
it on your wall. You will always know that you earned the privilege of being
honored among the elite of the worldwide Christian community.
Since you will be doing most or all of your studies through correspondence,
you will be able to work at your own pace and should be able to finish a
degree quicker than you would at a resident college. The primary drawback
to correspondence education is procrastination. Begin at once to schedule
study times. Don't expect to have time, you must make time the same as you
would to attend resident classes.
